This was a challenging conversation. For the first time, on this his 38th Illumify Game Changer question, Jonathan couldn’t complete his answer.
When I explained the reason for identifying the three essentials of his vision, and framed them as his “key messages”, I know he got it. He’s familiar with neuro science’s discoveries on how our brains are programmed to remember in threes.
Yet he kept reverting to the film metaphor, identifying them through the perspectives of a film director, critic and viewing audience. I was hopeful he’d get close enough using the audience perspective but what emerged bore only vague resemblance to the essence of his vision.
This question was meant to identify what his future audience needs to hear, and remember, about his vision.
They have no awareness of it just yet. So what do they need to at least initially hear in order to be willing to share and act upon it?
